club 33

once upon a time we went to club 33 in disneyland.
oh you have never heard of it? luckily wikipedia is here for you.
(as it was for ryan and myself, considering we didn't know what it was either)

it is basically this secret restaurant in the middle of new orleans section of disneyland that you have to have reservations to and the only way you can get reservations is if you are in the club or know someone in the club. luckily, ryan's friend from his arabic class responded to his fb status plee of cheap park hopper passes and said she could get us in. at the time we had no idea what club 33 was and actually thought it was some sort of scam - get in to the park for free and just pay for your meal at some secret club we had never heard of? it sounded way sketchy and we almost didn't do it. luckily for everyone, kalie actually knew all about it and was quick to inform us that this was not only a real place but a once in a lifetime opportunity. so glad that girl knows her disneyland facts! (or else we might have turned walt's private club down..which would be a shame). so anyway, i took the nice cam and documented the crap out of our experience! considering we will probably never go back to that blessed place.

i assumed my mom everyone would want a play-by-play of our experience so here! you're welcome!

 1. change out of matching clothing to be more club 33 appropriate.
(more pictures of those neon gems later)

2. stand by the oh so exclusive club 33 door and take a picture with it before heading in

3. tell them margetts party of four has arrived and
enter the door kalie has been dreaming about entering for years

4. take pictures in the lobby while waiting to enter that antique-style glass lift  kalie is standing by

5. sit down and take a picture of kalie with the menu slash order filet mignon.

6. be obsessed with the club 33 plate and napkin in front of you

7. take that plate and go get some food from the lunch buffet
(and grab one of those baby tabasco sauce bottles because it is the cutest!)

8. go back to get more fruit and that delicious soup in a baby cup

9. remember you actually get an entree as well

10. have one of your four waiters take a picture of everyone

11.then take individual pictures of everyone slash yourself

12. feel kind of sad that your meal is over but then remember they have a dessert bar!
13. grab one of each and take pictures of them but maybe not really eat all of them
14. apologize to walt for doing that. maybe we didn't know some of the desserts had coffee in them or were weird tasting!

15. if your name is megan then proceed to eat
one million of those white chocolate swirly stick things

16. take pictures of the decor while you wait for the check

17. awkwardly take a picture of the check along with the un-edible coffee treat and the pens and chocolates they gave us!
 (18. don't even feel sad that your meal came to over one hundred dollars
with the tip because that is how much you would have paid for a park hopper pass!)

19. take a picture of blair with a plate and thank him for being awesome

20. check out the nice little balcony area and feel really happy that you are still at club 33.

21. take pictures of all the things you forgot to take pictures of earlier

22. wish you could have those baby cups with soup in them everyday

23. have the bar tender tell you all about this harpsichord that was made especially for the club

 24. be obsessed with the ladies restroom

 25. shamelessly take some of the napkins from the restroom for souvenirs

26. admire walt's great taste in asian decor

27. stare at this painting and feel real sad that it is pretend -walt never actually got to see the club because he passed away before it finished.

28. then stare at this one. real or not real? nobody knows.

29. take one last picture and feel completely satisfied with our club 33 experience.

club 33,
thank you for being so exclusive.
we appreciate you.

st. george/tuacahn

two weeks ago we decided to spend a day in st. george before we headed to california.
first stop was going to be the temple but it was closed for cleaning..we really need to start looking that up beforehand from now on! that was a bummer.
buuut it allowed us more time to spend with my 8th grade bff shealee!
(who i had not seen since my farewell)

it was so fun to catch up with her and so nice of them to let us stay the night!

we also enjoyed meeting her dogs
(even me. my hatred for dogs is going away i think!)

maybe "enjoyed" is an understatement for ry guy

we also enjoyed meeting her husband.
aaaaand taking this precious photo.

after some good quality time with them and filling our bodies with some texas roadhouse (does anyone else love that place as much as i do? those rolls!) we headed to the little mermaid at tuacahn! and we were there as quick as a flash because shealee lives five minutes away! except for the whole temple part, nothing could have been more perfect about this day.

from the looks of this photo we've never been happier!
(is that because a stranger actually took a decent photo or because of the little mermaid? ..probably both)

i never knew they had soooo much ariel stuff

and who can blame that little tot, i'd be ticked too if they made me be prince eric!

just me and creepy skirt ariel.

since we couldn't take pictures during the show this is the only one i have and doesn't do it justice at allll.

even though we sweat profusely it was maybe the happiest time of our lives!
i will never stop loving ryan for taking me to see it and i highly recommend it to one and all.

it really was so magical.

and i've never been to tuacahn before so i couldn't stop taking pictures of it

or all the people in the show. i get way more satisfaction out of taking pictures of other people taking pictures with the cast members than actually getting in a photo myself.

way obsessed with sebastian. way grossed out by king triton.

and i couldn't stop being amazed at how they got adele to be ursula!!!?!?

and to end the night ryan was able to see all his YA friends. famous!

anyway.
the little mermaid rocked my world so hard and i would go watch it again and again and again if that wouldn't cost a million dollars. and i would give you a play by play of every magical thing that happened but i don't want to ruin it in case you go. thank you ryan and tuacahn for such a great night!
and thank you to all the cast members that made heelys seem cool again.
