sometimes i hate driving in the snow.

so i opted to just go home after spending all day at my sisters house tending my babies
(and then having to stay and watch the office, modern family, and sister wives haha)

i wanted to review november 2010 and while doing so i found these two gems:

love roommate breakfast. love footie pj's. love these girls.
weird that this was a year ago.

that's all i really wanted to say. reunion soon?

5.17.2011

don't like when my roommates move out!

(said in the voice of kid history 3 "don't hit me in the face with a bike!")

(how she fit all of her stuff in that vehicle i will never know)

nobody likes it when suzanne goes to africa
or kaycie gets married
or brittany moves home
or ashley goes back to georgia

but amelia and i are here for the long haul.
so you guys are welcome back to visit any time!

sidenote: i'm just trying to catch up with blog fest so maybe there are like six other ones below this one that are brand new to you guys!
i'm serious. i just counted. seven new posts!
we are so so so close to seattle posts, i can feel it.

5.03.2011

this was a good time

and luckily ashley blogged about it so i don't have to.

i had a birthday!

so i have lots of things to post and it is all out of order but hey. at least it is happening!

so anyway. like i said. i had a birthday! and it was nice.

ashlie and i decided to put cats on our way awesome and totally hip nokia phones
(you know, to make them even more awesome and totally hip)

the week of my birthday was also spent going on bike rides and creeping every historic home in provo to find good ones for my final photography project.
this one definitely made the cut!

morning of birthday was spent with suzanne.
birthday breakfast at magleby's!

afternoon was spent with nicole, kaycie, amelia, and ashley.
birthday lunch at zupas!

evening was spent with d.
birthday dinner at malawi's!

(i love eating so bad i guess!)

so much matching and happiness

and fire!

and (FREE) ice-cream
(for birthday, NOT for dantzel)

and here is an honorable mention.
a quick ride and a yee-haw on the texas roadhouse saddle.
i did it for the free ice cream.

oh and here is another one!
a birthday miracle!
went to olive garden with the roommates and i found some plastic in my food. i wasn't going to say anything because heck, i don't care, but our waitress saw it all happen so she grabbed it from me real quick and in a very stressed manner told me to pick a dessert and then said "my manager discounted your tab".
this, to me, meant maybe a few dollars? maybe charged for a lunch portion instead of a dinner portion?
but no! i got it all for FREE.
sad for them because they were so stressed but so happy for me.

other things worth mentioning that made the birthday nice but are not pictured:

brynne's homemade postcard that let me know i was her cupcake!
going to class and turning in things!
so many nice fb messages, wall posts, texts, and phone calls!
speaking of, talking to sister tong from taiwan!
watching modern family with ryan and then receiving the pass of all passes!
watching him and nik play at lib square..so convenient. and classy!
youtube time with d!
and then having a sleep over and watching she's the man with
myself because dantzel fell asleep in two seconds dantz!

anyway. it was a really nice birthday!

thanks guys.
24 will be fine. probably.

"things i never blogged about"

that is the title of a folder i just found on my desktop so i decided to blog these things i intended to blog about but never did.
(even though they were probably like two months ago)

ryan and i went to some ski competition at deer valley resort that was pretty sweet

and we both wore our parents boots which made us look awesome and kept us super warm!

so grateful for these guys

everyone loved trying to get back down the hill

my favorite moment of this picture was the guy standing on the side.
he was so happy about it that he felt compelled to give me a high five as we got down.

asia new year's celebrations with the burtons!
sooooo delicious

i love everything about this photo. you might want to click on it and make it bigger.

i guess me trying to be domestic and almost burning our kitchen down seemed like a good thing to blog about.

we like to match when we go to roommate breakfast at magleby's
(and by that i mean i saw that they were wearing sweats so i went and put some on)

how about this minion my sister kim made for her son's valentine box!
i think she did a great job.

and we all got valentine goodies! from sweet nicole

..i guess those are the things i wanted to blog about in february.
not random at all!
maybe if i look hard i will find a folder about things to blog about in march and then eventually we can get to april festivities.

we'll see.

12.13.2010

hi pictures.

i took two finals today and also bought international stamps (who thought sending letters and pictures to new members would cost so much. $50 just for stamps. really?). so now i feel like blogging. don't really know how it correlates.
this week..
macey's had a killer deal (maybe still does?) on chex cereal between. what i bought for me, my mom, and my sisters- it totalled 54 boxes haha. $1.09 a box cannot be beat.
wednesday night we went and saw the lights. i think i took this photo and not really any others but thank goodness nicole did, bless her heart.
we threw an ugly sweater christmas fest this weekend. i'm glad my collection could clothe ryan, suzanne, and myself!
if you look closely my earrings are clay kittens with santa hats.
ryan was such a good sport!
(ps I got these off my roommate ashley's facebook so they are possibly crappy quality. sweet thing has all her albums set to private so this was the only way for you to see them)
ryan! haha. the gettinginpeople'spictureswithoutthemknowing thing never gets old.
i'm so glad she captured this lucky moment.
another lucky moment would be how we went with my mission president and his wife to the temple saturday night. oh those live sessions! it was nice to be there with all of them and ry guy. missions rock.

(and if you want to know why the hoers are so cool, you can listen here.)

yesterday we finally got to give ryan's dog max this sweater. when i saw it in the store i was dying. i had to buy it for him. who would think up a knit turtleneck for small dogs! genius.
let's be honest, i don't even like dogs.
 but i like him.
wendy put up her tree!
(i hope i can make a habit of highlighting her decorations in every post).
so much happening, so christmas fabulous. i could stare at it for days.
at my request my mom put up our front room tree too!
(hasn't happened since before my mission haha)
which is more on the lovely side so i love it for different reasons. i think i could just sit in front of a lit tree for hours and never get sick of it. add some hot chocolate and christmas tunes and i'm entertained the whole break.
seriously.
after not having christmas for two years in a country where they only put up decorations at the mall or the mission home, you just can't get enough of it.

aaaand cue abrupt ending.

11.22.2010

proud owner

of these bad boys.
a little too much too soon but i love them!
this would be my favorite part..
i have wanted footed pajamas since they stopped fitting me 20 years ago so when my roommate kaycie bought some i ran over to target as soon as i could to pick up my own pair.

this would be proof.
a little roommate breakfast love last wednesday.
(and ahem, we are waiting for everyone else to get on the ball and get their pair.)

i just thought i would share this good news with everyone because i put them on a few moments ago and they just feel like childhood and when i look down i'm so pleased with myself. i hope you all can experience the joy of footed pajamas with pockets if you haven't already. they are a dream come true.

here is another dream come true.

after hating television for months i have finally enjoyed watching something other than the office. ryan borrowed season one from a friend and we have already blown through two of the four discs.
so so funny.

11.09.2010

the gabes.

green gables had a little photo shoot
(still don't really know why it is called that)
it brought back sweet memories of the yellow house shoot we did almost three years ago
flared jeans!
and nice yh moments like this
 ohhh and this
and this? don't actually remember why this is happening but i like it
and as i went through old photos i found this which was just asking to get posted. supersized. haha
but anyway, back to roommate fest- here are a few of the many photos captured by kaycie's sister, krista.
somehow, even when it is random, i have really pretty roommates.

this one below is maybe my favorite.
my literal roommate, amelia
(kind of an awkward picture but we didn't realize we could smile)

single (kind of) ladies. hence, why we live together.

we couldn't pass up the opportunity for this shot considering there are soooo many leaves in our front yard.

this was actually the first time all 6 of us were together since we moved in so it was a special day on all accounts.
(ps krista does all sorts of photography and her pricing is reasonable so you should definitely check her out!)
