i feel like the pictures speak for themselves. white party = magical.

 it was so fun to dress up a bit and just have a lovely time with lovely friends. 

this party was an absolute delight and i was so thrilled we made the cut this year!

..so if this picture looks a little weird it is just because i wanted a picture of just the two of them but there wasn't one,
 so i had to make one myself 

kalie and melissa did a wonderful job putting it all together and i am always amazed at kalie's mad party skills. i don't know why i thought it was a good idea not to bring my camera with me so i'm really glad melissa had hers and let me use it to take a few of these photos above! i'm also glad that two months later i finally went and got them from her and i'm finally posting them in november.

my nephew plays football.

 that is right.
my nephew (we call him jackson) has played football since he was just a little guy and now
(and by now i mean for the last couple of years) plays for highland high school.
 a few weeks ago was their homecoming game so we layered up and braved the cold to support our favorite highland ram!

(maybe i should say that the boy in the wheelchair is not him)

everyone let go of these balloons on their first touchdown and i loved it

everything reminded me of murray high football games with the black and white (and look a little orange!) i felt like i was 17 again. wait. brynne are you down there?

look at this and try not to feel bad for those pirates. so many losses!
buuut i just noticed they won two games last year! they were against granger and murray. 
hahaha
i feel embarrassed.

baking time!

here is the thing.

maybe it is because i'm not married yet but i have not hit the "i love pastries!!!" phase in my life. i appreciate all of you that have though and for that reason i thought i would dedicate a post to my sister's cakes that she has made recently.  she was showing me some of them this morning and she is not much of a blogger so i thought i would do it for her. this is only a few and the pictures do not do these sweet little cakes justice. ..but i thought at least you, emma westwood, would appreciate it.

and we can't forget the "i have way too much time on my hands so i just HAD to make this harry potter themed cake" ..cake. this one actually happened a few days ago and i'm sad i missed it.

well there it is.

she has a bunch more but we don't know where the pictures are. if we find them i will update and post them. i hope all this craftyness that my sisters all possess will enter my body at some point. until then i will just appreciate it and live vicariously through them.
