lovely.

this weekend was so lovely so i thought i would tell you all about it. 

friday night we went to logan so ryan and nik could play for usu's homecoming dance. i can't remember ever going to logan so it was a nice time (except for the part where it was really dark and i didn't actually see anything except the student center) and i was so glad richard came to keep me company!

 after they played we went and witnessed the whole becoming a true aggie business. i'm still confused at how it all works and if just kissing at 12 makes you one? or getting in front of everyone and kissing on that A thing is what makes you one?.. so i'm not really sure where we stand with it, it all just seemed too easy. we might be true aggies.. or we might not be, i still have no idea. 

either way it was pretty entertaining and everyone loved it when this guy asked that girl to marry him! this is all i got of it, i didn't get my camera out fast enough to get him down on one knee though.

the next morning we woke up rather late and we didn't even feel bad about it! usually i go into work at 5 and ryan goes in at 8 on saturdays so it was nice to have a break. 

since we were in salt lake we decided to take advantage of this great deal at snowbird.

so after getting ready and before heading up, we ate at yamasaki and i was so pleased with it. before my mission i didn't really love asian food and now i just can't get enough of it! gosh i want to go back right. now.  

the drive up little cottonwood canyon was so gorgeous! and the weather was perfect.

obsessed.

 

the tram was such a nice ride up and as we got off we unloaded into a white abyss. i don't really know if abyss is the right word but i can't think of a different one. 

 first snow fall! yessssss

 by the time we came back down it was snow/raining in the valley as well so we drank (cinnamon) hot chocolate and listened to our pal (and by our pal i mean ryan's pal) david's christmas cd. 

i can't imagine a better way to have spent an afternoon! it also made me extremely anxious for christmas time.

it was perfect. 

to continue the great day, my family had a halloween party that can be seen on my sister's blog. 

aaaaand if you are wondering what we are doing tonight (i know you aren't but just in case), we are going to

go see this girl. 

 and see? she wears glasses and is excited for christmas too. 

it is going to be a good night.

moyshfest

last week my sister kim wanted some family photos taken so we took a little drive up alpine loop.

twins! 

 they are the only two that got single photos because the other two loved crying.

after this photo kamden got so out of control that he had to have some alone time in the car. 

 ..which might explain why he isn't in these ones.

hahaha 

They are cute. 

the tots are cute too..especially kamden and korbin who love life way bad.

i like to call this one, "real life".

even though it was cry fest 2010 and all those loops made me nauseous,  it was fun being with their family all day.

story of sadness.

once upon a time i got adenoviral keratitis 

(hopefully you didn't actually click on that..but i couldn't help myself with halloween around the corner)

so i've looked like the picture below for a good 3-4 months.

then, finally, last thursday my eye specialist told me it cleared up and i could start wearing contacts again! it was a very exciting time, and just in time for the mission reunion

(just some sisters with president. we're obsessed with him, if you couldn't already tell by the glee on our faces)

see? no glasses. 

(for 2-6 hours a day that is..)

but then. 

somehow

it. came. back. 

yep.  i definitely have his shirt wrapped around my face to ease the pain of sunlight burning my retina. 

soooo i'm back to glasses and will check back in 4 weeks to see if there are any improvements. 

kind of sad. ok. really sad. i liked having a face for a second. 

but me and contacts had a good few days.

such as, i wore them to work on the day that we finally moderated all of the mormon.org profiles! 

(you know, those things they asked you to make in conference- i make sure you aren't blasphemous or inappropriate before they go on the website)

i also wore them on our walk around downtown provo and our visit to the free zoo pet store!
(ps kind ryan started wearing his glasses to make me feel better)

and also to a little mongolian get together. 

(ok so i'm behind the camera and not in front of it, but it was worth mentioning)

so contacts. i guess we had a good run. 

maybe we can be friends again soon? 

sorry you hate me. 

crafty.

two weeks ago i participated in super saturday.

hey, i need to be crafty at some point.

little did i know just how awesome i am at it. 

real smart idea to leave me alone with a staple gun. 

..but alas even with my craft handicap, it somehow came out alright. 

i feel one step closer to becoming a domesticated lady!

(kinda like sophisticated lady but better)

who wants them some conference?

WE do. 

we have an institute class by the beloved sister terry and she said something worth noting. 

"the session you need to hear most will 

be the session you are tempted to miss."

..think about it. 

..and since chat will be closed for conference, i will definitely miss talking to gems like david here. oh how i love my job.
