twenty one one

the new year has started out great.

woke up at 4:58 this morning and started chatting away on mormon.org 

even though i went to bed at 2:45 working is great for two reasons: 

1. today = double time

2. my boss let me work from home (praise the heavens)

it was rough at first but a few things have gotten me through the last six hours.

thing 1: wearing this sweet wolf shirt from urban. 

i originally bought it because i knew ryan would love it 

(since he would date a wolf if he could) 

but it's growing on me. 

thing 2: chatted with a girl from beijing in chinese! 

thing 3: efy 2009 came on shuffle and brought back so many mission memories

thing 3: chatted with some really sincere people, one in particular who had his records removed because of family/peer pressure (but regrets it and 

wants to be re-baptized..hollerrrr) 

thing 4:  had a friend request on fb which to my surprise was this pretty lady below!! 

meet my (not so) new member, 王少千.  

she was one of my most favorite people in taiwan and for some reason or another i just love her so much.   considering i haven't seen her in two years, 

that friend request made my life. 

if it is anything like the first few hours, i think 2011 is going to be a good year.

 can you tell from my clothes that i embraced the culture?? haha)

back in august my sister asked me to take some photos of her family but i was given strict instruction not post anything about it until after christmas.
so as to not ruin their christmas letter, here we are four months later.

(and many were taken by ryan because at the time i felt stressed about the low light  so thanks to him for assisting me in my near breakdown)

and there will be one more little beck joining the family soon! 

i wish they would make their little babies forever.

we just wanted to thank delta for the free wi-fi on our flight back to slc right now. 

don't really know what is so pressing that needs to be done on a plane and can't wait till home so i'm doing the only thing i can think of.

aaaaand if you look closely you can see how ryan tried to make the earbuds stay in my ears. i have never been able to keep them in there because my ears are too small. but this little wrap around method is working quite well. 

listening to jonsi, sitting with ry guy (and the sleeping lady next to me), free wi-fi, free movie "delta destinations", free cup of ice and ginger snaps soon to be in my possession (and the free ryan dictionary reminding me how that is spelled...and then reminding me that 'spelled' is not spelled 'spelt') make up for quite the flight. i'm not even mad that the flight was delayed and that they took away my new toothpaste. (they have made up for it in all the free happiness and christmas gifts) 

wait a minute- 

DELTA DESTINATIONS JUST TURNED INTO AN EPISODE OF THE OFFICE!!! 

delta sure knows how to make passengers happy.

next exciting news = when we land we will go to my family christmas party!

 (which is bound to be a big hit with the added flair of ugly sweaters and mom jeans) 

p.s. i will blog about ashlie's wedding at some point (and seeing my cute sister and her family). 

it was definitely worth the short trip!

glad i saw this info on facebook. also glad i had no idea they were naming her lauren.

don't really know why i felt so surprised by that. probably because all of my other nieces and nephews have crazy names.

just because it is 7 in the morning, i'm at work, and bored i'll tell you their names. because i know you are dying to know what they are.

aaand Christmas is in like five seconds! so exciting for a few minutes and then so depressing. why can't it just almost be Christmas all year long? oh and happy festivus!!
