g. town, friends, and more friends

at the beginning of this month (what? blogging something in the same month it happened?) i flew to dc for dantzel's open house (since I was not able to attend her actual wedding back in december), to see my friend sara, and let's be honest - to just spend some time in lovely dc.

sara was nice to spend saturday afternoon with me in georgetown. it was actually a pretty nice day so we walked around, enjoyed all the cute little homes, ate brunch at a delicious little restaurant, and  then spent some time at georgetown university's campus.
this white house did a good job with those skinny symmetrical trees

i was so happy to see these little flowers in the middle of winter!

the colors sure were a nice sight for sore winter eyes!

going to georgetown's campus brought back nice memories of the last time i was there

that night i met up with beth and her husband to go on a nice 45 minute drive to maryland for d's open house. dantzel looked beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed the refreshments, the player piano did a great job playing some of coldplay's nicest hits, and it was fun to have some yellow house girfs time! it was also nice to catch up with d's parents and little sisters and talk to a new random friend named jill. speaking of, i need to stop making friends like middle-aged jill because there are now random people all over the place who know my whole life story.

and then the night ended with nathan (beth's husband) making the mistake of telling me his parents are food scientists so then i spent the entire 45 minute car ride home asking him a million questions about his parent's opinions on things like high fructose corn syrup, diet drinks, and the dairy debate.
it was a nice day.

remember when i went on a spurt of not correcting any typos? that was funny/confusing and i'm tempted to do it again.
