ashlie dance and melissa marsh were showing me the great bikes of the usa and we came across this beauty and i fell in love.

it looks so much like my taiwan bike! 

(minus the out of control spray paint, bike basket, and bike box i put on the other one)

and i just miss that little taiwan bike so so much.

so, if you have a few hundred dollars to spare and were thinking of a 

graduation/birthday/sorry you don't have a bike present for me,

this would be a great choice.

 that it is losing it's sidekick today.

glasses and i have been together (by force) for over 8 months now and previous to that i've worn them

(at my leisure) since 5th grade.

i didn't want it to come to this but it is time for us to break up.

today. 2:45 pm. 

i'm getting new eyes.

i thought i wouldn't feel sad at all but i kind of do. as much as i haven't liked these guys on my face all the time they have been through everything with me. i've wanted lasik for years and now that the time has come i feel really nervous and kind of vain. and crazy for spending so much money on my face? (that is where the vain part comes in). and i feel scared that since my eyes are so sensitive something crazy will happen and i will be the first person to ever go blind. or something more reasonable, get permanent dry eye and have to put eye drops in my eyes every 15 minutes for the rest of my life. change is rough, even when you have looked forward to it for so long. i guess i can just buy fake glasses if i miss them that much (which i already know i will) and this way i can have a variety because they won't cost so much. annnnnd i can wear my beloved sunglasses again! so really this will be great in so many ways but glasses, we had a good run. thanks for being there for me when contacts failed me. 

i've appreciated you assisting me in seeing the world.

whoops that i haven't uploaded photos from my camera for three weeks.

just realized i haven't really posted much lately. maybe because it was all in my camera? here are some events i found on that little guy.

all i've got to say is i'm glad there was cotton candy.

when you get excited about spring, you have to get slurpees and go to the local home depot to pick out paint samples for your interior design project. 

who even knew disney had their own paint line?!

i was ticked about not going to california or vegas for spring break so i forced my roommate suzanne to go to my cabin with me this past weekend. 

ashley joined us a little later and this basically sums up our short time there. 

lots of laying, great lighting (dad you did great with those new lights!), music, and suzanne being mad at me for not putting wood in the fire or for looking through music too long.

and thanks to papa murphy's, we didn't starve. and also a big thanks to the movie "bedtime stories", i loved it way bad! and i didn't even know it existed.

and ps. have you guys ever put left over pizza on a frying pan or on a skillet? it makes it SO much better. you should really try it because i used to hate day old pizza because it is all soft and gross but now it is my favorite favorite thing.

and this was taken today on my way to school.

the time has come

to take myself more seriously!

i've started a photography blog. it all happened because my sister wanted me to take her birth photos (inspired by my amazing cousin jessica's photography). she wanted to post them but then wanted to be able to link them to a photography blog for people to go to if they were interested, etc. i felt kind of silly making it and i haven't really said anything about it because of that but after taking her birth photos i decided that i really would like to do it more often.

so.

whether a business will come from it or not i don't really know. what i do know is that i love it and there comes a point when we all have to stop being scared and just do what we want to do..right? before my mission i was scared to do anything unless i knew i could be the best at it. well, i learned too much to still have that sad view of life (even though i still secretly battle it..maybe this super long explanation of making a blog tipped you off?). i know that there are 1029329312832 photographers out there who are better but it doesn't matter. i know i'm not the best and i don't think i'm the best so it works out. i'm just doing what i like to do.

so. anyway.. here it is.
