sisters weekend : day one

one day some of my sisters decided to book a flight to boston and then one week later they began to arrive! quickest and happiest visitor surprise ever.
last thursday i headed to the airport to pick up sister number one who flew in from texas. i met the best of friends on the way! cutest toddler brandon on the bus, then cutest ladies from china on the subway, and then cutest blind man on the next subway tapping his cane singing hit songs a capella like "only fools rush in". it was already a very successful morning.

after picking up tricia from the airport i immediately took her to rino's. i was given strict instruction to try and include some triple d locations so after looking through all the boston locations (yes. out of love i google mapped every single one) i found this one right by the airport and was excited to start the trip off with making her dreams come true. this is also where the phrase "will you send me the picture you just took? i gotta facebook that!" began.

next up tricia got some real boston life without a car experiences with not only her luggage but also the groceries we bought as well. this time may have included a little detour when i didn't realize our bus picked up on the same side of the road for both directions and we went the wrong way. whoops!

after (finally) dropping everything off at my house we headed out again we decided to go get some ice cream and check out the MIT campus

on our way we found this very colorful walk way

then ate some delicious toscanini's ice cream (vanilla malt? yes please) and headed over to MIT.

we had a fun time checking it out and i was happy she liked the stata center architecture as much as i do

and the night ended with more subway fun and getting to walk my favorite walk along the cemetery because we barely missed the bus! i'm not even pretending to be optimistic, i really was happy to have someone with me so i could enjoy it rather than feel stressed the whole time and tricia was nice to let it happen even though she was freezing. yes to a whole day of one on one time with my sister! and having a slumber party in my room because the rest of my house is freezing too haha

I just want you to know that i have the worst internet connection ever right now(in a random hotel in puerto Rico) but anyways I waited for all your posts to load and read them all. It has kept me very entertained while Joe studies and it's too dark to do anything else... So thank you i loved all the adventures and so glad that you had such a fun time with sisters.
