watching a boy experience an eyelash curler for the first time is rather amusing.

loooove baby highschool reunions. thanks to ryan clay for being in town and austin for having a birthday! such a good thirty minutes.

one saturday night we had nothing to do so we played catch in my front yard.

(i'm sure since this was the second time i've even picked up a lacrosse stick it was amusing for everyone)

murray high lacrosse team captain everybody!!

surprisingly i thoroughly enjoyed this activity and hope it happens again soon.

that same night we headed over to arby's

 (so happy about those citydeals coupons! $60 worth of food for $14? yes please)

but kind of real stupid that arby's costs that much for three visits. what happened to cheap fast food?

healthy.

after that we decided to clean ryan's nasty house.

i love that ryan likes things to be clean and is the mom of his house too.

mfeo.

after a good hour or two his house looked great! and we felt so productive, which is kind of a rarety for a saturday night.

one sunday we went up for margetts family dinner and ryan got to skype with one of his mongolian companions!

all the while i ate his grandma's homemade ice-cream from baby cones.

i'm such a sucker for ice-cream and baby cones.

this was a nice moment. just chit chatting with the freis in my front room after their forever long bike ride from utah lake to provo canyon. sad this was just a one time thing! long distance best friendships are rough.

before hp7 part 2 came out we spent almost every night having hp marathons.

most included popcorn, pasta roni, slurpees, and matching outfits. winners.

and this last gem would be me trying to use my card to get into the girls dorms at the mtc to creep my cousin before she left. sadly, i was denied access and i didn't really want to get fired so i just let it go. sorry kaylee, i really did try. see you in 18 months.

midway cabin hike to the pipe then walk on it time

last weekend we had some great cabin time with my family.

i forgot to take pictures of most things but thanks to ryan's phone we documented this cute little hike.

instead of taking the road to the pipe we decided to make our way down to the stream, cross it, then climb up to the other side. it was a cute adventure.

 

(as a side note : so happy my annual zit/bump thing above my lip is back. couldn't do without that little guy this season! really. twice a year. every year. it is my faaaavorite)

after a few scratches and mosquito bites we eventually made it to the pipe! and look at that view! 

awwwwe. we love that pipe

and ryan loves stressing me out by always standing on scary drop-offs or rocks whenever we do things like this. if you can't find him he is in the corner.

i think one of the highlights of this day was when we realized the pipe was freezing cold rather than blasted hot like we expected. so we sat on it and even laid on it for a while! best pipe ever.

if you are ever in midway, go check out this pipe. it really is such a nice time!

this time we walked farther than we ever had before! i don't remember ever being able to see the golf course from the pipe so that was another really exciting moment.

then, of course, my bladder had to ruin everything (like usual) and so we began to head back.

on the way we definitely saw a skunk! there is a riveting 2 minute video of us trying to pass by it without it spraying us (seeing that his tail was up! it was maybe the most terrifying thing ever) but i decided to not post it and spare you.

we also saw this caterpillar! ryan said it was maybe poisonous because of, you know, the way it looked. i don't really know if that is true but i'm not the one that read animal and insect books my whole childhood so i just took his word for it.

we then stopped off at this little part that is really so great. there is always a cup there for you to drink fresh spring water and you just really can't care that everyone uses it because you are just so excited to drink fresh spring water.

we love neature.

..and in case you were wondering, i made it back to the cabin without peeing my pants.

i felt accomplished.

better late than never.

one time best girf dantzel had a birthday last week and i was at my cabin without the internet. this ruined my plan of having a blog post shout out but really it didn't because i will just do it now.

a few months ago i was looking through old photos and began making a folder of all the real good ones of the two of us and held onto that folder forever and ever to make you a birthday post. the anticipation has been killing me! so glad your birthday finally came so these gems could make their blog debut! 

first of all, we love dantzel for making the most of awkward situations. when you dress exactly like the wedding party even though you aren't a part of it, just embrace it. 

now on to our sweet memories. 

we have had mock engagement pictures taken

attended conference

we were pretend missionary companions

we love thermals

and jumping

and swiss slides in huge houses

sad we didn't really buy those

or those

love dancing

especially on roller-skates

and on our roof

we also loved going and watching our roommates play tennis

looooved our window and creeping people on the street

and hammocking 

we attended school 

(even when it wasn't my school)

walked to football games

(and cleaned the stadium up afterwards. twice.

..and crashed freshman dorm parties as russian ice-skating partners

did that face one time and wore hoodies and hung out at some cabin with all of jill tuttle's friends and had a nice time with ourselves the whole night. remember this day?
