icelandic festival or lack thereof.

so i've been obsessed with festivals in utah valley so when i saw that there was an icelandic festival in spanish fork i was thrilled as was ryan. after driving forever and getting somewhat lost we realized it was no longer happening! we were both devastated so we drove by the krishna temple to act like that is really why we drove to sf. ryan had never seen it! so it was still a good time.

on the way home our spirits lifted as we saw the aluminum animal sale on the side of the road!

thank you aluminum animals, for doing for us what the icelandic festival could not.

after this we both felt like going here would be a good idea.

since they were cleaning the carpets we had to get take out so this was our classy view as we waited.

then we sat outside in the windowsill and had our giant cup of soup with our cream cheese wantons (that i salivate over just thinking about them) and it was even better than before! no tip and no tv in the background! it was great.

afterwards we headed to the local smiths to get a red box and ended up grocery shopping for a good hour, possibly two. i became so distracted with my love of grocery stores that we didn't actually have time for a movie by the time we left. but this trip was much more successful than watching a movie.

one of many reasons would be finding this milo brand! this was the brand of cereal i would eat sometimes in taiwan and it is the first time i've seen it in america. who knew something so small could make me so happy?

i love to be healthy.

as we checked out ryan found these gems. i might do a post dedicated to our favorite cards later. haha and we wonder why people make fun of us mormons?!

after that we went back to my house to put everything away. being the sweetest thing that ryan is he just started cleaning out the rotten milk that had hardened on the bottom of the fridge that had been there for weeks because no one would claim it was their milk that did it. oh how i love roommates! i'm not sick of living with five other girls at all. and i am definitely not the only one that cleans up after everyone! just like this night, we definitely didn't stay up for two more hours cleaning my house.

anyway. sometimes your plans fall through and you end up doing things that are totally random  and somehow all the random little things are way better than what you originally planned. i really loved this night.

Who knew that those creepy animals could bring you and Ryan such happiness? You should write a book, Date on Dime or should we say Up close and personal with the aluminum animals? You guys are 2 peas in a pod. haha

Dear Jan. I really like you. "I wonder where your good looks came from...must be your dad cause I still have mine." HA HA HA! Love it!
And also, random nights with lots of pictures are my favorite. And so are cream cheese wontons. So, maybe I need some?
