cousins camp twenty eleven

cousins camp started while i was on my mission i think? and last year i was at efy so this was my first cousins camp experience!
the day began with honoring our country and reciting the pledge of allegience
(how else would you start a cousins camp?)
hahaha

then the making of the rockets began.

a real pretty photo of yours truly

more about the rockets later.
after a nice lunch grandpa and the kids played some bingo!

classy.
that afternoon we headed to a nice little spot to shoot off the rockets.
as 23 of us piled into a 12 seater van it began to rain and then pour.

haylee's face depicts the general feeling of everyone as we sat in there forever and ever.
luckily it stopped right as we almost gave up hope.

and these two gals were thrilled to be there as you can see from their faces.

grandpa was focused and ready

it was a stressful time for some

some contemplated eating their rocket
(and eventually did)

and upsetting for others when their turn was over.

and others didn't know how to feel.

(they really did have a great time..i don't know why i didn't take any pictures of anyone actually looking like it)

kim was our half time show

do you see that ginormous spider? it died.
thanks rain for making it pretty and nice outside!

it was a great time had by all!
