before disneyland i went to see brynne

now that i blogged about really important things like karaoke and snow cones i can now successfully move on to blogging about my trip!
so instead of flying out with my parents i went a few days early so i could spend some quality time with best friend brynne! the trip started out great. at the slc airport i went to buy something in the vending machine and somehow there were already two dollars in there! i looked around (i felt like i was on an episode of "what would you do?") and didn't really see anyone who looked like they forgot two dollars in the vending machine, so i made my purchase and even got fifty cents back!
thanks to whoever forgot to get their money, you are the best.

i had never flown jet blue before but i am absolutely sold for two reasons.
1. they give out the best unlimited snacks! seriously, so happy someone finally realized pretzels and peanuts are lame
2. they make you feel like you're getting off air force one and make all of your pan am dreams come true

brynne was the nicest to come and get me from the airport. we then went directly to the mall for the small window of opportunity we had to go shopping.
after shop fest we went to their house and ate, watched the office/parks and rec, and made halloween crafts. it was a delightful first night!

the next day i went to the beach with some of the frei family while brynne was at work. i really wanted to check out the boardwalk and canals so i did just that. more on that later.

that night we went to C&O which is a really dreamy italian restaurant. we loved everything about it and then loved it even more when we realized we were actually outside and it just looked like we were inside. then the love became too much when we all sang "that's amore" together and toasted each waiter as they walked by. we thought we recorded it but there was a malfunction and it didn't actually get recorded at all. guess we'll just have to go back!

aaand not only did the place look great but they served delicious garlic balls/rolls and brought out a whole bowl of parmesan (i love that stuff!). add in our extremely ornery yet funny waiter and you, my friends, have the perfect restaurant!

afterwards we walked to the pier and and stared at the waves for a long time which was nice. i had some photos of that and the camera crew for some canadian show but sadly somehow they didn't make it onto my flash drive from brynne's computer but i think i deleted them from her computer so i guess they are gone forever. sad.

when it got too cold continue wave watching we drove over to the local yogurtland for jordan and got ourselves some yogurt. i hate that i had to say yogurt twice in that sentence. i always just want butterfinger but usually get fruit so that i don't feel bad but this time i got it but they didn't have vanilla so it was weird. i always fail at those yogurt places! every time.

the next day we went to the lacma museum and the beach. again, more on those later.
then brynne made this delightful meal (she doesn't talk about it but she is quite the cook!)
after eating the two of us headed to the LA temple for some initiatories.
it was actually closed (whoops) so we had a lovely time perusing the referral center
then rented edward scissorhands because we were all so pumped from the exhibit!

the next morning b&t drove me to anaheim
(thanks guys!)
and i began the second part of my trip!
which will probably make it's appearance next week.
